WAYS TO STAY AHEAD IN MY CLASS
Don't Ask:
When is the period over?- when the bell rings and not before
Does this count?-everything counts
Can we have Extra Credit?-sometimes, but absolutely not if you ask.
What is my
grade? Everything you do is on a point system; just divide the
points you received by the total number of points at any given time.
Be Prepared:
Bring paper, pencil, pens, and whatever else you need --books, handouts, etc..-but most importantly your brain. I am intolerant of sleepers and lazy students.
Come to class having done your homework and reading
Oral presentations will be given on the day they are assigned or points will be taken off.
Tests and quizzes will be given on the day they are assigned. Asking to postpone a test or quiz will not work unless there are extraordinary circumstances. Coming into class on the day of the test/quiz and saying “Gee, I can't take this because I had a.........” is not a good technique. Better: tell me in advance, as soon as you know that you will have the conflict.
