3) You will see all of the candidates for president and where they stand on 6 major issues:
a) Health Care
b) Abortion
c) Climate Change
d) Iraq
e) Iran
f) Immigration
4) RANK the issues according to your own personal views; which is the most important issue facing the United States? Which is least important? Why?
5) Using the candidate that most close matches your own views, CHOOSE one candidate from the opposite party. (All Democrats are on the left side and all Republicans are on the right side)
6) READ the views of those two candidates regarding the issue that you chose as being the most important issue facing the United States.
7) WRITE a three paragraph essay
a) Paragraph two (5-7 sentences) SUMMARIZES the views of the Democratic candidate. You must identify which candidate you are writing about.
b) Paragraph two (5-7 sentences) SUMMARIZES the views of the Republican candidate. You must identify which candidate you are writing about.
c) Paragraph three (7-10 sentences) EXPLAINS why you believe the issue you chose is the most important issue facing the United States, and either STATES which candidate’s view you agree and WHY, or states your own opinion on the subject and WHY you hold that view.
